Shinkansen/Bullet Train
Bullet train from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station

Step 2

Bus from Nagano Station to Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal where we will pick you up. Make sure you are looking at the ‘Winter Season’ and NOT the ‘Green Season’. Unless you are coming in ‘Green Season’ of course.

Azusa Express Train
If you are staying in the Shinjuku area before coming up to Hakuba or on the way back, there is one (sometimes two depending on season) direct train per day coming straight from Shinjuku to Hakuba. Current schedule is 8:00 AM departure from Shinjuku (double check for details). If this time suits you, this can be the best way.
Also for return, there is one (and only one) direct train per day from Hakuba to Shinjuku, currently scheduled to leave Hakuba at 15:15 and arrive in Shinjuku at 19:06.

Access from Osaka / Kyoto / Nagoya gives you three main routes.  All are approximately the same cost and time and what will be best for your group will depend on your desired departure time, exactly where your accommodation in Osaka / Kyoto / Nagoya is.  I can’t really offer much more than what you will find on Google Maps.

Either at the airport or from your accommodation in Japan it is quite easy to send your bags ahead of time directly to us. Yamato Transport or Sagawa Transport are two popular options and they have very obvious kiosks in the major airports.

It is best to send your bags directly to our main Lodge. We receive a lot of bags this time of year so please label them as clearly as possible with your booking name, as well as where you are staying, whether Morino Lodge itself or at one of our chalets. Chalet luggage is still best sent to our main office.
